Infrared functional pigments have widespread use in plastic products across a variety of manufacturing sectors. They have the possibility to improve environmentally friendliness of buildings and vehicles when used in windows, speed up ink drying, improve the heating speed of blow moulded parts, make more comfortable clothes for use in cold climates, and can be used as laser marking additives to allow permanent and rapid marking on almost any polymer, and any colour.

The applications and benefits of infrared additives described in this talk are just a snapshot of the possible uses, which aims to inspire plastics processors to consider infrared functional additives for their applications.
