Our Sustainable Mission

The Story so far

There is a lot to consider when it comes to creating an event with minimal impact on the environment. From the flooring, to choosing how we distribute magazines, sustainability is at the forefront of all our decisions.


We understand that the events industry still has a long way to go to lower carbon emissions, but we aim to put in practices, where possible, that can help to achieve this. You can find three key initiatives that we have put into place for 2026, below.

Below you will find the ways in which we are working towards reducing the carbon impact of our trade shows.

What our visitors can do...

• Complete the post show survey so we can improve our knowledge on how attendees travel to the event.  


• Think about how you travel to the event, and if there are options to take a train or car share if possible.  

• Remember to bring your reusable water bottle / coffee cup as there are refill stations located around the venue  


• Ensure you drop of your lanyard at the end of the show in the ‘recycle your lanyard’ as you leave the hall

What our exhibitors can do...

Discover new partners and innovat• Consider investing in a modular stand design which can be re-used at multiple shows


• Hire UK based stand builders who are sustainably conscious.


• Make use of the event platform / app for digital assets /QR codes instead of bringing print material.


• Ensure giveaways are not "throw away items" and have a useful purpose for visitors, ensuring your brand is visible for a longer period.ion

Carbon Offsetting
This year we are delighted to introduce a new Sustainability Programme that helps us to offset the CO2 impact of our event. For every meeting confirmed in our new event App, we will plant a tree. Exhibitors also have the opportunity to plant further tress, using their exhibitor manual to buy packages directly.

Less Waste
Most of the magazines at this year's event will be downloadable by QR codes on display boards, as an alternative to buckets with printed magazines. This will have a significant impact on the amount of waste created post show, ultimately bring us closer to acheiving our goal of being a zero waste event.

One of the best ways we can encourage sustainable development as an industry is through our content. The Interplas Insights Conference is carefully curated so that attendees are able to take away knowledge that is applicable to their own businesses, enabling them to make greener business decisions.
