TPU from Lubrizol:
Pearlbond™ TPU are hot-melt adhesives (HMA). They are used as an ingredient of reactive hot melt adhesives (HMPUR) as well.
Performance: deliver high bond strength combined with softness and long-term durability. They offer excellent adhesion to difficult substrates (plastics, textiles, foams), good heat resistance, and controlled crystallization for optimized processing.
Applications: Widely used in footwear lamination, automotive interiors, technical textiles, composites, and specialty assembly applications requiring strong yet flexible bonds.
Pearlbond™ ECO TPU are bio-based TPU solutions for hot-melt adhesives (HMA) and reactive hot melt adhesives (HMPUR). Bio-based innovative grades complete that portfolio with sustainable performant solutions.
Pearlstick™ TPU are used in solvent-based adhesives, inks, binders, lacquers.
Performance: resins designed for dissolution in solvent systems. They provide excellent film formation, high elasticity, and strong adhesion to a wide range of substrates. These grades offer good resistance to abrasion, oils, and chemicals, with controlled viscosity for coating and impregnation processes.
Applications: Used in solvent-based coatings and adhesives for textiles, synthetic leather, automotive interiors, flexible films, and industrial laminations where softness, flexibility, and durability are required.
CoPA and CoPES from EMS-Griltex®
Griltex® thermoplastic adhesive products include copolyamide (CoPA) and copolyester (CoPES)–based materials designed for heat‑activated bonding and lamination across a wide range of industries.
EMS-Griltex® CoPA are copolyamide hot-melt adhesives.
Performance: combine excellent adhesion to polar substrates, and good resistance to heat, chemicals, and aging. They offer strong cohesive strength after bonding.
Applications: Applied in textile lamination, automotive interiors, filtration media, technical fabrics, and industrial bonding where thermal resistance and durability are critical.
EMS – Griltex® CoPES are copolyester hot-melt adhesives.
Performance: combine high flexibility with good mechanical strength and elasticity. They exhibit low activation temperatures, good wash and aging resistance, and strong adhesion to textiles and polymer films.
Applications: Commonly used in apparel lamination, functional textiles, automotive textiles, and multilayer structures requiring softness, flexibility, and good wash durability.
