The Laboratory Chemical Scientist Degree Apprenticeship from Tiro allows employees to earn a full BSc Honours degree in Applied Chemical Science while remaining in full-time employment.
Delivered in partnership with Middlesex University, it is designed for those working at the forefront of research, development, and analytical science.
Spanning three years across Levels 4, 5, and 6, the programme covers organic and inorganic chemistry, mathematics and data analysis, spectroscopy, organic synthesis, and responsible research and innovation. Optional specialist modules include Polymer Science, Pharmacology, Forensic Science, Green Science, and Chemical Technologies — allowing the programme to be tailored to the needs of the business and the individual. Assessment culminates in a Company Research Project and End Point Assessment.
Attracting up to £27,000 in government funding, this apprenticeship is suited to those developing careers as Analytical Chemists, Research and Development Scientists, Formulation Scientists, Medicinal Chemists, Process Scientists, and Laboratory Managers.
