Pad printing, or tampography, is an offset printing method that uses a soft, flexible silicone pad to transfer a 2D image from an etched plate (cliché) onto 3D objects, even those that are curved, spherical, or textured, making it ideal for items like pens, electronics, and promotional goods where traditional methods fail. The pad picks up ink from the plate and then conforms to the product's surface to deposit the image, allowing for printing on complex shapes like watch faces, phone cases, and medical devices.
